The Connection is again proud to host the annual Pearl Day on Saturday, May 7th! Join us in Pearl for the festivities this year and make some memories for you and your friends and family. Why not spend the weekend at The Holiday Inn, do some shopping at Bass Pro Shops and the Outlets of Mississippi before or after the Pearl Day fun begins?
Pearl Day festivities will get a warm up on Thursday and Friday, May 5th & 6th with a CARNIVAL that will run from 5pm until 11pm, and all day on Saturday the 7th, located in the MS Braves Stadium parking lot at Trustmark Park.
The fun really begins on Saturday with a KID ZONE area with plenty of inflatables and games for kids, along with a bungee jump, mechanical bull and a wipe-out game for adults who are still young at heart! Arts & Crafts will be well represented with choices for everyone. Of course, what is Pearl Day without food? Bring your appetites as there will be LOTS of FOOD vendors and even a food court tent, sponsored by the Holiday Inn/Alumni House Sports Bar & Grill and Trustmark Park.
Live ENTERTAINMENT will take place all day on Saturday, in the entertainment tent, with local talent showing off their style and rhythm.
The day will culminate with a FREE Concert in the MS Braves Stadium! (Did we mention the concert is FREE?) First up will be Hannah Belle at 6:30pm. Hannah was a runner up on American Idol a few years ago and has also been named the 2014 Country Music Awards Rising Star. At approximately 8pm, superstar Jerrod Niemann will take the stage! Exploding on the music scene in 2010 with his chart-topping major-label debut, Judge Jerrod & The Hung Jury, Jerrod has also written songs for and with such artists as Garth Brooks, Blake Shelton, and Lee Brice.
And, last but not least, the MS Braves will again sponsor the huge FIREWORKS show at the end of the FREE concert!
