Rosters are Released for the Southern League All-Star Game at Trustmark Park on June 21!

In a press release issued last week by the MS Braves, four MS Braves were named to the South Division All-Star team – Catcher Willians Astudillo, RHP Chris Ellis, outfielder Dustin Peterson, and infielder Dansby Swanson.

Astudillo, 24, is a native of Venezuela, and was signed as a free agent by the Atlanta Braves in 2015.  Ellis, an Ole Miss alumnus, was named MS Pitcher of the Month (April) and is an Alabama native, he was acquired by the Braves in 2015. Peterson, 21, entered the 2016 season ranked by Baseball America as the Braves #22 prospect and was acquired by the Braves in 2014; he is an Arizona native.  Swanson, 22, a Georgia native, was selected first overall in the 2015 draft by the Diamondbacks, and joined the MS Braves in December.
