Tesla is Booming at the Outlets of Mississippi!

Posted On Thursday, December 8, 2016

The Outlets of Mississippi, an integral part of The Connection and the state’s largest outlet shopping destination located minutes from the capital city of Jackson in the city of Pearl, recently provided an update on the U.S. automaker Tesla Motors (NASDAQ: TSLA) Supercharger Station in the Center, which opened on March 31, 2016.

“Our Tesla Supercharger Station has powered over 213 Tesla vehicles since the installation earlier this year,” said Kathy Hackshaw, General Manager of the Outlets of Mississippi.  “We’re told by Tesla that this converts to 33022 miles travelled and 28639 pounds of CO2 emissions reduced by Tesla customers. This station enables travel on Interstate 55 (from Chicago south to Louisiana) and Interstate 20 (from Texas east to South Carolina), making the Outlets of Mississippi a perfect place to stop, charge up, and as an added bonus, shop our Outlet Center for some great buys!”

Superchargers are connectors that charge Tesla vehicles in minutes instead of hours. Stations are strategically placed to minimize stops during long distance travel and are conveniently located near restaurants, shopping centers, and WiFi hot spots. Each station contains multiple Superchargers to get travelers back on the road quickly.  Thus far, Tesla has built 743 Supercharger Stations in North America.

The Outlets of Mississippi now has eight (8) Superchargers for all Tesla owners to use as they visit the shopping center, or are just traveling through.
